Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you use joblancer.app and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Joblancer. Contact us through our contact form or at [email protected].
2. What Joblancer does
Joblancer is an online marketplace. Job seekers create profiles and look for jobs. Employers post jobs and look for candidates. We connect job seekers and employers through AI-assisted matching. We are not an HR provider, a recruitment agency or an employer, and we are not a party to any employment contract.
We do not guarantee that any candidate will get a job, or that any employer will find a suitable hire.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure.
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Each person may have one account. You must not create an account for someone else without their permission.
- Your role, candidate or employer, is chosen when you create your account.
4. Candidates
- Your profile, experience and skills must be true. Do not claim qualifications, employers or experience you do not have.
- You decide how visible your profile is, and you can change that setting.
- You are responsible for the applications you send and the messages you write.
5. Employers
- You must represent a real business or organisation, and be authorised to post jobs for it.
- Job listings must be genuine, lawful and describe the role accurately.
- Job listings must not discriminate on grounds the law protects, and must not ask candidates for money to apply.
- You are responsible for your hiring decisions and for complying with employment law, including how you handle candidates' personal data.
- Use candidate contact details only for the recruitment purpose they were shared for.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- impersonate another person or company, or misrepresent who you are;
- post false, misleading, fraudulent or offensive content;
- harass, threaten or spam other users;
- scrape, copy or harvest data from the Service, or use automated tools to collect it;
- attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or interfere with the Service's security or operation;
- upload malicious code or anything that breaks the Service.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add, such as your profile, CV and job listings. You give Joblancer a licence to host, store, display and process that content so we can operate the Service, including showing it to the users it is meant for and using AI matching as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies must be kept for legal reasons or for backups that are being overwritten.
8. AI matching
Match scores and explanations are generated automatically. They are suggestions to help people decide where to focus. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not a decision about any person. Do not rely on a match score alone when making a hiring or career decision.
9. Fees
Using Joblancer is free at the moment. If we introduce fees, we will tell you in advance, and we will not charge you without your agreement.
10. Ending your account
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm others. Where possible, we will tell you why.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, or losses caused by the actions of other users. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. When we make a significant change, we will show a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of the UAE, unless the law requires otherwise.
